My little bird card was submitted to a magazine several years ago when asked to use a bird. It was never published so I'm sharing it here on my blog.

Painted Flowers

I entered a spread in a challenge over on OWSE; http://wwwstampedimpressions.blogspot.com/2012/07/new-journal-page.html
My gift arrived yesterday, Robyn sent a large foam stamp by donna downey.
I couldn't wait to play, this morning I stamped a word stamp over the watercolor paper, painted the background with transparent paint, stamped the flowers but not the stems and then used a Sharpie poster paint pen to make the stems similar to what was on the stamp. The word stamp was inked and cut between lines and then glued to the page. To add a little color around the page I used Distress antique linen with a foam applicator.

Cheering up Tag

I got out my new sprays inks and stamps from Dyan Reaveley to make this tag.
Looks better in person, I used perfect pearls on the wings, leaves and flowers. I used watercolor crayons with a waterbrush to color the girl with a duck on her head.
Dyan has a wild imagination to make a stamp with a bird/chicken as a hat.

Tag Book Swap

Instead of showing each tag of my Tag Book Swap, I decided to share them together. Each of the tags were made using Tim Holtz stamps, distress crackle, paints, distress inks, paper, die cuts and idea-ology.
Tags 3 and 4 top row and 2, 3 and 4 on bottom row were made using techniques learned from Tim's online class:

The girl top left is a Dyan Reavelely images using two sets of stamps and one stamp from Tim Holtz.
Top right is a girl from Penny Black with Tim's pinecone die used to make a flower.
In the photo it shows four tags without trim, these were finished with trim before sending them out.

Girl with Die-Cut Flower

This is one of 10 tags I made for the Tag Book Swap. The little girl is a Penny Black mounted stamps. After stamping the image, I cut off the flower she was holding and put a die cut flower in it's place. This was made with Tim's Tattered Pinecone die. Copic markers were used to color the image.
The black piece behind the girl is a Quickuts die-cut, the portion in blue was an embossed piece cut from Tim's texture fades. The music was a texture fades as well. The butterfly die cut is from my stash. The background paper is from K and Co.

Check back tomorrow, I'll share the third one.

Dress Form with Rosette

This tag is one of the tags I sent out in a Tag book swap.
I used Tim Holtz products; stamped background image, dress form, rosette strip die, ideology, distress inks and Ranger archival black ink.

New Journal Page

I used a technique from Robyn's journal class (OWSE group); I started with pages from 1883 applied to the page with my Xyron, next I added Dylusions spray ink and acrylic paint.
And then from this to
This:
Add images using Dyan's stamp sets. I used the waterbrush to color in some of images using Distress Stains that was placed on Tim's palette case.

12 tags of 2012 ~ July ~ Let Freedom Ring

Tim inspires us each month with his tutorials! Here is his tag for July:  http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2012-july/

I made my tag using Tim's Kraft core paper, Distress tool, Alcohol inks and Distress stains but finished it off inking stamps from my stash. Keeping with the color theme, I couldn't find anything my stash for embellishments. All in all, I had fun making this tag!
Thanks Tim!

I made a youtube video

This week on Technique Tuesday over on OWSE  http://craftingwithowse.blogspot.com/ I shared how to sew a signature.

This is my first video. After stopping and starting and taking stitches in and out five times I finally got one video I could live with although I have to correct my words a few times. It's strange to hear your own voice online.

For the last 15 years, I've enjoyed making my own books! I generally use white card stock or watercolor paper.
I used colored card stock in this video because I thought you could see where I placed the thread in and out of each signature.

embrace imperfection

I had fun playing with my Dylusions stamps, spray inks, distress stain and distress inks to make this tag. The little words are from Tim's chitchat booklet.
The tag was made using three of Dyan's stamp sets.
I placed distress stain in Tim's plastic tray. All the images were painted with my waterbrush. Edges were inked with distress inks.

Since the first of May this year, it's been fun mixing and matching these stamped images from Dyan Reaveley along Tim Holtz products. I made my tag 4" x 8" with file folders.

It's almost time for CHA and new stamp images from Stampers Anonymous, Tim Holtz and Dyan Reaveley.
